Krishna Priya dasi

Krishna Priya Dasi is a disciple of His Holiness Lokanath Swami, who is a direct disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the world's foremost Vedic scholar and teacher. She was born in Rajasthan, India and was raised in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur is famous for Sri Sri Radha Govind Dev Ji temple.

Although she encountered major structural and bone problems from the beginning of her life and under went brain surgery in 2005, she continues to  write, paint and cook for Lord Krishna. Her poetry book Lotus Lyrics based upon Bhagavad-gita As It Is by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada has received much appreciation. Although she experienced difficulty with eye/hand coordination and extreme dizziness during her writing, she was able to do the simple, but beautiful paintings for her book. She dedicates it to those souls who also undergo various trials and tribulations.

She was trained in traditional Rajasthani painting and one of her paintings appears on the front cover of Graham Schweig's book, Dance of Divine Love.  She also does henna body art and she is presently working on several cook books. Her first cookbook, The Art of Indian Sweets, has been well received.

Since 1996 she has been living in the US in North Carolina.
