Indradyumna Swami is a respected leader in the International Society for Krsna Consciousness. He joined the movement in 1971 in Detroit, Michigan, and soon after went to Europe to help establish Krishna conscious centers in France, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. In 1979 he accepted sannyasa order of life (a renounced monk) and in 1986 began preaching in Eastern Europe and Russia.
Since 1990 he has also organized a large festival program that runs annually for two and half months in Poland that introduces Vedic culture to hundreds of thousands of people. The festivals seek to introduce people to India's ancient cultural traditions through a feast of entertainment and education involving: classical Indian dance performances, theatre with puppets, presentations on Vedic texts such as Bhagavad-gita, musical performances, graphic exhibits, stalls with books and handicrafts and vegetarian food. His festivals have expanded in places like South Africa, Brazil, Australia and various parts of Europe.
Traveling extensively in many parts of the world, he happily shares his experiences and realizations with others in the form of his diary.
